5 Best Epoxy Flooring Pros in Ottawa for a Tougher, Cleaner Finish
Ottawa winters don’t exactly play nice with bare concrete. Road salt, slush, and freeze-thaw cycles can leave garage floors looking rough fast.
And while regular flooring services can sort out hardwood or tile, garages and basements need something tougher. A proper epoxy system gives concrete a cleaner finish and better protection from everyday abuse.
The tricky part is finding installers who prep the slab properly instead of treating epoxy like fancy paint. To help, we compared local crews, coating systems, and warranties to find the best epoxy flooring in Ottawa.
How much does epoxy flooring cost in Ottawa?
Outfitting a typical Ottawa garage or basement with professional epoxy flooring generally costs between $4 and $12 CAD per square foot.
Premium metallic finishes and industrial installations can run up to $20 CAD or more per square foot.

1. Royal Coatings Of Ottawa Corp.
Website
Address: 135 Laurier Ave W
Contact: (613) 408-1829 / [email protected]
Hours: Daily: 7 AM to 10 PM
Ottawa winters can turn a tired garage floor into a salty, peeling eyesore. Royal Coatings tackles that with a hybrid system pairing a moisture-vapour barrier epoxy base with a UV-resistant polyaspartic topcoat.
Just as importantly, the crew mechanically grinds the concrete to a CSP3 profile and uses HEPA-filtered dust collection. That extra prep should appeal to homeowners who’d rather not gamble on a coating slapped over poorly prepared concrete.
We like how the system uses a VOC-free basecoat. Royal Coatings even advertises a lifetime warranty covering issues such as peeling, cracking, discolouration, and delamination.
It’s a reassuring package for anyone prioritizing durability over a quick cosmetic fix.
The trade-off is speed, since the standard hybrid installation takes two days. If getting the garage back in service within a single day matters most, a faster polyurea system elsewhere may suit you better.

“Phenomenal job transforming my garage with an epoxy coating”
Ziad and his crew did an absolutely phenomenal job transforming my garage with an epoxy coating. They didn’t just stop at the floor—they took the time to do the stairs and side walls as well, and the attention to detail is next-level.
From the very start, communication was fantastic. Ziad was completely clear through the entire process about the pricing and exactly what work they would be doing, so there were zero surprises. On top of that, the crew was incredibly reliable and showed up exactly on time every single day, which is rare these days…

“Thorough with prep work”
I recently had Royal Coating of Ottawa epoxy my garage floor, and I’m extremely happy with the results. The team, Ziad, Abdelrahman, and Ibrahim, did an outstanding job.
They were punctual, professional, and thorough with prep work (moving everything, grinding, and cleaning the concrete perfectly). The epoxy finish is smooth, durable, and looks fantastic. It completely transformed the space.
They worked efficiently, left everything spotless, and clearly take pride in their work. Highly recommend Royal Coating of Ottawa and this great team!
Thank you, guys!

2. Blacken Epoxy
Website
Address: 142 Rue de Varennes, Gatineau
Contact: 819-639-4881 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday: 8 AM to 4 PM, Saturday: 7 AM to 7 PM
Blacken Epoxy offers grinding, crack repair, and self-levelling before the coating goes down.
From there, the team works on residential garages, commercial spaces, and industrial floors. Their options include decorative flakes, sealers, and exterior coatings for areas such as balconies, patios, and pool surrounds.
That broader service range makes them a practical pick when your slab needs more than a quick cosmetic refresh. We also appreciate how it can simplify projects where repairs and coating need to happen under one roof.
The catch is the warranty, which runs for one year. If long-term coverage is high on your checklist, that relatively short protection period may give you pause.

“Outstanding job on our metallic floor”
Danny from Blacken Epoxy did an outstanding job on our metallic floor. He was extremely knowledgeable, organized, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The quality of the work exceeded expectations, especially considering how competitive his pricing was compared to others. I’ve already referred multiple friends to him, and they’ve all had great experiences as well. We’ll definitely continue using Blacken Epoxy for any future epoxy work.

“Danny was very thorough”
We had our garage floor resurfaced by Blacken last fall and have been very happy with the result. Our garage floor is older and needed some repair work before the epoxy coating – Danny was very thorough, and the final result is great. Danny was also really good to work with; he took lots of time to answer all of our questions and made sure we were happy with the project. I highly recommend Blacken Epoxy!

3. Total Epoxy Ltd.
Address: 1826 Robertson Rd #336, Nepean
Contact: 613-875-5548 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM
Ottawa-area garages put coatings through plenty, from road salt to moisture sneaking up through concrete. Total Epoxy takes a methodical approach to this by matching its flooring systems to the slab’s condition before installation begins.
From there, homeowners can choose vinyl-flake systems, while tougher quartz finishes suit commercial and wet areas where extra grip matters.
We like that the UV-stable polyaspartic topcoats help reduce yellowing and keep the finish looking sharper over time.
It’s good to note that the company backs eligible installations with a 15-year limited warranty covering adhesion failures, material defects, and workmanship issues. That gives buyers a useful layer of reassurance beyond the fresh-floor shine.
That said, structural concrete movement and later flooding or water intrusion aren’t covered. If the slab shifts or outside water causes damage, those repairs fall outside the warranty.

Hours: Monday to Friday: 9 AM to 4 PM
If matching a floor to a brand palette matters, this Nepean outfit gives you plenty to play with. Epoxy Coatings Plus carries pigments, flakes, topcoats, and other coating materials while offering professional installation across Ottawa.
We’re happy to note that their supplier-plus-installer setup is handy for commercial spaces that need more than a standard grey floor.
Their range includes decorative systems, commercial-grade coatings, and finishes suited to heavier traffic and chemical exposure. The staff can help narrow down products based on the space and performance needed.
That makes them a useful pick for projects where colour choice and technical specs both matter.
The trade-off is the mixed service model, since they handle materials, equipment, and installations. You’ll want to be clear upfront if you’re after a full-service install rather than supplies or rental gear.

“The best epoxy supplier in Ottawa”
Chromology is hands down the best epoxy supplier in Ottawa. David and Theo are awesome to deal with, super friendly, honest, and always willing to help out with any questions. 5. Majestic Epoxy Floors Inc.
Website
Address: 9 Taunton Pl
Contact: (343) 254-3919 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday: 7 AM to 8 PM, Saturday to Sunday: 7 AM to 10 PM
Majestic Epoxy Floors takes a methodical approach by checking slab moisture and surface profile before coating begins.
From there, the crew uses diamond grinding and builds the floor in layers with primers, resin coats, and protective topcoats. Their heavier systems suit spaces dealing with forklifts, machinery, abrasion, and chemical exposure.
That prep-first process is a strong fit for projects where durability matters. Their seven-day availability also makes it easier to arrange a consultation around a packed workweek.
That said, Majestic’s prep-heavy, multi-layer approach may be more than you need for a lightly used basement or simple cosmetic refresh. It makes the most sense when durability, moisture control, and tougher everyday wear justify the extra work.

#1 EPOXY COMPANY IN ALL OTTAWA/ GATINEAU!!
We just had our epoxy flooring job completed today and as a very picky and meticulous client I can honestly say Majestic Epoxy Floors blew me away. Arya and his team were professional, easy to work with, and genuinely cared about getting every detail right.
