We like that its enjoyable ambiance is matched with an extensive menu. The vast selections range from stuffed gourmet burgers and poutine to salads and desserts.

Alongside a great presentation is a perfect balance of spices. We also appreciate that portions are generous enough to leave a hungry stomach satisfied.
It’s nice that operating hours are extended until 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. But should you decide to enjoy good food at home, you may choose to have your orders picked up or delivered.

The perfect balance of the spices
“I was told by a friend to check this place out and man I’m regretting that I waited so long. We have tried Burger and and Pizza tonight and both were amazing. I love how the burger taste and the perfect balance of the spices. Highly recommend. I will be back next weekend.” — Sepehr Najafzade, Google Reviews

2. Burgers n’ Fries Forever
Criteria | Ratings |
Reasonable Price | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Variety of Selections | ★★★★✩ (4/5) |
Dining Options | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Customer Feedback | ★★★★✩ (4/5) |
Founded in 2013, Burgers n’ Fries Forever came about as a product of different cultures.
Specializing in halal food, all of its meat products are certified by the Islamic Food And Nutrition Council of Canada (IFANCC).
We like its belief in equality — that people should have equal access to great food like burgers and fries.
As its name suggests, Burgers n’ Fries Forever offers burgers and fries that come in various combinations.
Using only fresh AAA Angus halal custom beef blend, we think that the burgers here taste amazing.
The Melt Combo and the Nashville Hot Chicken Combo are must-tries that can be availed of at reasonable rates.
The poutine is also great, should you need to pick another option from its menu. But since it focuses on burgers and fries, choices are rather limited.
It’s nice to know that all fries are made of hand-cut PEI russet potatoes. The beef, veggies, vegan patties, and even the gravy, are gluten-free, which is perfect for those with some strict dietary requirements.
There’s a catering service, too. The only downside is that it comes with a minimum order of $100, requires 48-hour notice, and advance payment.
While the staff members sometimes move slowly and orders occasionally get mixed up, its customer service remains great.
You may also order online and get things delivered, which is great for movie nights at home.
Pros
- Specializes in halal food
- Various burger and fries combinations
- AAA Angus halal custom beef blend
- Most products are gluten-free
- Catering service
- Dining options
- Open daily
Cons
- Limited to burgers and fries
- Service can sometimes be slow

Nice place for burgers or poutine
“Amazing place to go for some burgers. I came here with my friends while walking through the area, and we were looking for somewhere to eat. We walked by and this place caught our eye. I ordered The Spicy Bold BBQ Burger and I have to say it was amazing. The burger was very savory and the fries were amazing. My girlfriend ordered a poutine with pickles and chicken on it and it looked and tasted amazing too. Overall I would highly recommend this place if anyone is walking through the Ottawa downtown area and is wanting a very nice place for burgers or poutine.” — Jassie S., Google Review

Quality here is consistent
“Flavorful burgers with quality and love put into the food. I’ve had plenty of burgers in Toronto and was highly recommended to come check out the burgers from Fries with Burger. My first order was the Juicy Lucy, and it was perfect in every aspect. From the taste of the buns, the freshness of the vegetables and the taste of the bun. In fact we loved it so much, we ordered a second one, as well as tried the Spicy. All in all, way better than Ozzy’s, Burger Factory and Burgers n Fries Forever. The quality of their burgers have gone down since they started to franchise out. Quality here is consistent. All burgers were very delicious and I highly recommend checking out Fries with Burger out.” — Hassan Fazal, Google Reviews
Incredible burgers and friendly service
“Incredible burgers and friendly service. Man, I can’t remember the last time I had a really good burger. This was awesome. The bun was nicely toasted and crispy, all the fillings were freshly cooked and vegetables had a nice crisp. The owner recommended their house sauce which I really liked. Fries were incredibly soft yet crispy with seasoning. Overall highly recommend visiting and trying the food here!” — Jodi R, Google Reviews

The King Eddy restaurant first opened its doors to the public back in December of 2014.
Located in the heart of the Byward Market, it provides a wide variety of burgers and other food selections that are made of quality ingredients.
One of the things we like is its proprietary blend of never-frozen, hand-rolled beef balls. The fresh ground beef, along with other quality ingredients, makes every bite worth it.
Among your options include burgers, fried chicken, hand-cut fries, hotdogs, and desserts. The King Eddy Burger, which was originally designed back in the 1950s, is a double cheeseburger you can’t miss.
The Quebec Poutine is also highly recommended, although some might not be very much satisfied with the portions. The Northern Fried Chicken, with prices starting at only $17.99, is also worth trying.
We like that the restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The 24-hour extended service from Thursday to Saturday is commendable as it helps people enjoy quality food at any given time of the day.
It’s also great to know that everything on its menu is take-out friendly. You may opt to have things delivered if you’re preoccupied with other stuff.
Although the service can sometimes slow down, especially when the restaurant gets packed with people, we still think that The King Eddy is a good place for burgers.
Its welcoming staff and good food at reasonable prices make it a great choice.
