The 5 Best Animal Hospitals in Ottawa That Pet Owners Trust and Love
Fellow pet owners recently asked for my help finding the best animal hospitals in Ottawa. They wanted to make sure their pets received the highest quality care and attention.
A little concerned for the little furry friends, I did my research right away.
Turns out, the right animal hospital can make all the difference in ensuring our pets lead happy, healthy lives. The best clinics offer compassionate staff, advanced treatments, and a welcoming environment for routine check-ups and emergency care.
With all these aspects in mind, I scouted and interviewed pet owners to come up with this list of highly-praised animal hospitals Ottawa has to offer.
How much do animal hospital services cost in Ottawa? Animal hospital services in Ottawa generally range from $50 to $500, depending on the type of service and complexity. Basic consultations often start around $50 to $100. Some hospitals may also offer wellness packages or memberships that could provide cost savings for routine care. |

Extremely compassionate and understanding
“This clinic is extremely compassionate and understanding. We brought our family cat of 14 years in and ultimately she needed to be put to sleep. They were the most loving and understanding gave as much time as we wanted with her before and after her passing. I cannot be more greatful! Picking up mittens remains everything went smoothly and they even sent a sympathy card in the mail! Thank you for everything you did to make us feel cared for during a really hard time for our family.”

Kind and understanding staff and doctor
“Excellent clinic! Very kind and understanding staff and doctor. Even the phone call was informative and helpful with deciding on whether or not it was an urgent matter as I live 1.5hr away. I felt it was best to go and I’m happy I did. My dog Rufus is on the mend and my wallet isn’t dented too hard! Emergency service and first time there so, I was amazed that it wasn’t over my budget. Thankful for the care and the way they listened and examined/treated my pupper. They also have a clinic kitty who obviously runs the biz, so that’s a bonus! Hoping to not need emergency care for him again but, if ever I’d definitely go here”

Welcoming, knowledgeable, kind, and patient
“Currently on my first pet-parent journey with my sweet almost-one-year-old cat, Tilley, and Dr. Kamat was awesome! The whole team at the Animal Hospital was welcoming, knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I also found it was one of the most affordable vet clinics in the Ottawa area and just about the only one I could get a timely appointment at (literally the following day). Grateful for this level of pristine care for my cat. :)”
