Their cabinets are also handcrafted and made in-house by their many designers. This adds a personal touch to their creations that can’t be seen in ordinary stock products.
It should be noted that Kitchen Interiors, as stated in their name, focus more on kitchen interior renovation. However, they still offer simple cabinet customizations for other rooms in your house.
We appreciate that they have multiple designs to choose from. Their main designs are traditional, modern, and island.
They also offer other designs like oceanic, urban, heritage, exotic, English country, French country, southern, and even artisan. Unfortunately they do not offer too many customization options outside of these choices.

One of the first things we noticed and particularly liked about Kanata Customs is their wholesale prices. They’re willing to do bulk orders which is a great thing for realtors who are renovating multiple houses they have for sale.
Their cabinets are also pre-assembled but modifications based on your preferences are always possible. These alterations cost around $100 but will increase depending on the number of customizations you want made.
Another factor we looked into is Kanata Custom Cabinets’ equipment and technology for making their cabinets. They use modern machinery like door-making machines and high-end rotary tables.
This type of technology gives them the ability to make custom-made cabinets much quicker. Although the downside for this is that the product wouldn’t be too customizable after being made.
In other words, cabinets produced by these machines give you less freedom in terms of design. If you’re looking for a company that can provide custom-made cabinets quickly and do them in bulk orders, Kanata Custom Cabinets should be right up your alley.

They mainly focus on three types of design: the traditional, modern, and transitional. Their traditional design is minimalistic with more black and white highlights that gives an air of vintageness.
The modern designs have a more metallic fixture to them that gives them a unique shine. This type of depiction is more prevalent in houses built in the 20th century and later.
The most unique for us, however, is the transitional design that basically combines the previous two. These designs usually feature black and white highlights with metallic and wooden fixtures that mix the vibe of both old and new.
With over 40 years of experience, Deslaurier has definitely made a mark in the custom cabinet business. Their designers are all professionally-trained and are very approachable when you have questions.
We especially appreciated Deslaurier’s commitment to being green. Their water-based coating and varnish makes them a good choice for anyone who wants to work with an environmentally-friendly company.

The Cabinet Connection is known for working with different Canadian manufacturers. Cabico, Kitchen Craft, Cabinetsmith have all worked with The Cabinet Connection to provide them with numerous styles of custom-made cabinets.
Because of their connection, no pun intended, they have extensive design choices that may be good for clients looking for variety.
We also appreciated Cabinet Connection’s cost calculator. While it may not be one hundred percent accurate, it does give you a close estimate of the quote you should expect.
They also have a virtual room checker or visualiser where you can basically simulate what specific designs would look like in a space with the same size as your desired area.
It’s unfortunate that The Cabinet Connection doesn’t really provide their own designs. All the styles they have are from different manufacturers.
That doesn’t mean that they have only a small number of options but it does mean that if the motif you prefer isn’t currently available, you may have to wait a while to get them because they’re coming from a different manufacturer.
