Ottawa’s Skating Trails Opening This Winter 2023

As skating is one of the region’s most popular activities in winter, found in Ottawa and nearby areas are several skating trails people can enjoy. 

Below is a list of skating trails you might want to check out: 

Brewery Creek Skating Rink

Address: 185 sentier du Ruisseau-de-la-Brasserie, Gatineau, Quebec

Operating hours: Monday-Friday: 4:30 PM – 8 PM. , Saturday-Sunday: 9 AM – 8 PM

Cost: Free

Countryside Adventures

Address: 16495 Sixth Rd., Moose Creek, Ontario

Operating hours: Dependent on the weather

Cost:

  •  $12/person (free for children 5 and under)
  •  $48 for a Family pass (2 adults, 2 kids)

Available for rentals:

  •  Helmets: $5
  •  Skates: $10
  •  Snowshoes: $10
Éco-Odyssée skating trail

Operating hours: Thursday to Sunday, Jan. 14 to March 6, 3-hour day session, 2-hour night sessions (check website for specific hours)

Cost:

  • $15/youth (free for children under 3)
  • $20/adult

Icelynd

Operating hours: Wednesday to Thursday: 2 PM to 9 PM, Friday: 12 PM to 9 PM, Saturday: 10 AM to 9 PM, Sunday: 10 AM to 7 PM

Cost:

  • $10.75 Child/Senior
  • $17 Adult
  • $52 for families (2 adults and 2 children)
  • Ice rinks can be booked at an hourly rate

Laurentian Valley Four Seasons Trail

Address: 2 Henan Rd., Pembroke, Ontario

Operating hours: Dependent on the weather but with standard hours from 10 AM – 4 PM, Night Skates from 6 PM – 9 PM

Cost:  Free but donations can be made

  •  $19/adult 
  •  $15/senior
  •  $62 for families (2 adults and 3 youth)

The Little Penguin Trail

Address: 312 Chem. Taché, Gatineau, Quebec

Operating hours: Monday to Wednesday 10 AM – 6 PM, Thursday to Friday 10 AM – 8 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 10 PM, Sunday 9 AM – 6 PM

The concession stand opens from 10 AM to 6 PM

  •  $15 for 6 to 12
  •  $ 20 for 13 and above
