Free Fun for Ottawa’s Youth: Play Free’s 2024 Activities Starts on January
Play Free, Ottawa’s line-up of free activities for children and youth, is coming back in 2024 starting January 1.
The initiative, approved by the Ottawa City Council last spring, aims to make recreational and cultural activities more accessible for everyone aged 17 and below.
These free drop-in programs cover a range of activities, from gym sports to swimming, museums, and skating. The programs not only offer fun but also contribute to the health and social well-being of the participants.
On Saturdays, you can look forward to free drop-in swimming sessions for children, youth, and accompanying adults.
There are also various other free sports sessions, including badminton, table tennis, basketball, floor curling, open gym, indoor skateboarding, roller-skating, soccer, volleyball, etc.
What’s more, there’s also free daily access to Cumberland Heritage Village Museum and Billings Estate National Historic Site during their open seasons.
Guests also have access to free public and family skating sessions.
Once school lets your kids out for summer break, you can also avail a 10% discount on select summer camps. You can get the discount at Ottawa Adventure, Fun and Friends, and Bout d’choux.
Don’t let your children miss out on any of the exciting fun in store this 2024, and take advantage of Play Free’s spectacular array of activities!
