The 2025 Ottawa Winter Jazz Festival Returns Early on January 30 to Bring Holiday Cheer

Get ready to jazz up your winter! The Ottawa Winter Jazz Festival is making its highly anticipated return on January 30, arriving earlier than usual to spread much-needed holiday cheer.

As part of Winterlude 2025, this three-day jazz extravaganza is exactly what I need to shake off the winter blues in the frosty season. There will be 15 incredible shows celebrating the rich spectrum of jazz—from timeless classics to contemporary beats.

The festival takes place in Arts Court, and if past years are any clue, the intimate venue will create such a warm, immersive vibe. Special off-site shows will also pop up, adding even more variety to this unforgettable event.

I’m especially excited about this year’s lineup, which features an exciting mix of renowned musicians and up-and-coming stars. That includes Sarah Neufeld, Richard Reed Perry, Rebecca Foon, Tara Kannangara, Nitroturtle, and Yolande Laroche.

What I’m looking forward to the most is the return of The 33z, who will pay tribute to the legendary Quincy Jones with a not-to-be-missed performance at the Alma Duncan Salon.
