Canada Day in Ottawa: Discover the Incredible Lineup of Festivities!

Canadian Heritage has revealed its exciting lineup for Canada’s 156th birthday celebrations, starting with Jann Arden and Tyler Shaw to kick things off. So everyone is urged to join the biggest party in the country this July 1st!

Canada Day provides another exciting opportunity to connect with the community and create lasting memories. All the while celebrating the values of inclusivity, openness, and pride with family and friends.

This year, the festivities will take place at LeBreton Flats Park, west of downtown Ottawa. This is the second consecutive time it’s been held there because of the ongoing renovations at Centre Block on Parliament Hill.

The daytime ceremony, which starts at 12 PM, will be hosted by Rebecca Makonnen and will feature essential themes, anniversaries, and Canada’s diversity. The ceremony will begin with a short moment of reflection.

During the daytime ceremony, you can enjoy performances by many talented artists. This includes Pierre Kwenders, Delhi 2 Dublin, Tyler Shaw, Josiane, Diyet, Katia Rock, and Marie-Josée Dandeneau.

The evening show, titled “Canada Day: A Playlist to Celebrate,” is the most popular event of the day.

It promises a two-hour concert, broadcast live from Ottawa, taking viewers on a musical journey to Charlottetown, and passing through Calgary and Vancouver. Audiences will be able to sing and dance to Canadian classics and recent hits the whole time.

At LeBreton Flats, the evening show will feature renowned artists like Jann Arden, Roxane Bruneau, Aysanabee, France D’Amour, Preston Pablo, Les Louanges, etc. They’ll also perform live from different locations in Canada during the evening show.

The festivities will end with the Tim Hortons Canada Day fireworks near LeBreton Flats, starting at 10 PM.

In addition to the main events, Canadian Heritage promises a host of free public activities in downtown Ottawa and Gatineau.

Visitors can enjoy various events in Old Hull from 9 AM – 8 PM, and catch bagpipes and drum performances on Parliament Hill between 10 AM – 4:30 PM.
