Join a Vibrant Community Event that Uplifts, Educates, and Inspires at Ottawa’s Kwanzaa Celebration
On December 28, 2024, the annual Ottawa Kwanzaa Celebration will take place at the Blu Legacy Convention Centre, 3750 Bowsville Road.
Organized by Jaku Konbit, this beloved event has grown into Ottawa’s largest non-religious cultural celebration of the holiday season.
This year’s theme, “Africans Unite,” sets the tone for an inspiring gathering that celebrates unity, heritage, and cultural pride.
Just like last year, the party will be a vibrant celebration of African and Caribbean traditions. You can expect captivating performances, educational activities, and a deep dive into the seven principles of Kwanzaa.

Even if you aren’t of African descent, like me, you can join the party and celebrate their rich cultural heritage. Showing up is a simple yet powerful way to promote unity and inclusivity in our community, which is what Kwanzaa is all about.
Admission is open to all, so come and experience the joy, unity, and culture that make Kwanzaa truly special.
