The Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival arrives in Ottawa this June At Mādahòkì Farm
Summer is only going to get hotter as the Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival arrives in Ottawa this June 21-23 at Mādahòkì Farm at 4420 West Hunt Club Road.
This annual event celebrates Indigenous culture with a range of activities, including a pow-wow, arts and crafts, workshops, traditional food, and family-friendly entertainment.
There’s no entrance fee, but tickets must be purchased in advance for workshops, culinary experiences, and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) programs. There’s also no public parking on-site during the festival weekend.
However, free shuttles will be available from Algonquin College, and visitors can also be dropped off at the gate or take a taxi to the festival grounds. Sadly, parking on West Hunt Club Road is prohibited.
For more information about shuttle services and other details, visit the festival’s official website. Don’t let your June go to waste and join us in the celebration of the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Indigenous communities this summer!
