Top 5 Cat Grooming Services in Ottawa
While cats can pretty much take care of themselves, it is also a great idea to bring your feline friends to professionals for grooming sometimes.
So if you’re looking for the top cat grooming services in Ottawa, this article is for you.
But before we move on to the list, let’s first take a look at how much cat grooming would cost you.
How much do cat grooming services cost in Ottawa?
On average, getting your cat groomed would cost you around $50 to $70. But the figures can still change because of other factors like your location and the extra services you might avail of.
Your cat’s temperament can also affect prices, with those that hiss and scratch requiring an additional $5 to $10 more as hazard pay. Cats with longer hair that take longer to groom will also be more costly.
To give you a better idea of how much to prepare, below is a table showing the average costs of the most common cat grooming services:

Could not be more pleased
“Highly recommend Lyna for cat grooming! Could not be more pleased with the service we received. My cat had never been groomed before and is very fearful. As soon as Lyna met my cat she knew exactly what to do and what my cat needed. She gave me a few options and helped me determine the best course of action for my cat. Lyna is truly amazing at what she does. I also want to mention that the lady working at the front desk (I don’t know her name) was lovely.” — Shany Fraser, Google Reviews

“Fantastic grooming experience for my small dog at a good price. Booking over the phone was easy and the employees are all very kind and professional. Will definitely come back in the future.” — Matt Poirier (Matthew), Google Reviews

Best cat nail trim experience
“Best cat nail trim experience we’ve had! Extremely talented staff were very quick with our cat, who has been called “difficult” by vet techs and another groomer. His nails look perfect and he wasn’t fussy afterwards at all. Highly recommend!!! I used the feline mobile service.” — Shaily Allison, Google Reviews
Kind and efficient groomers
“Kind and efficient groomers took care of my cat and his too much fur! He came back to us soft and shedding less – which was very helpful for the recently diagnosed cat allergy in the house. Monthly grooming with Purrdy Paws is going to keep everyone happy!” — Rebekah Yates, Google Review

Team did an amazing job
“A few weeks ago my mother went to the Furry Friends Spa and Daycare to get our family cat, Skip a lion cut. She had some mats near her rear end, and wouldn’t let us brush them out. They eventually needed to be shaved off, and Chantal and her team did an amazing job!!Skip was very happy to be free from the mats, and my family will be taking extra care to ensure they do not return. My mother highly recommended Chantal and her team, and after seeing Skip I knew already that they’d take great care of my cat too!” — Nicole Townley, Google Reviews
So happy with the result
“So my friends have a seriously fluffy cat! They had a hard time finding a place that could groom her properly(the first place they took her too was awful)! They were so happy with the result after she was groomed here! The cat seemed to enjoy it too as she seemed so relaxed after!” — Jodi R, Google Reviews

She also received a certification from the institute as a feline creative groomer in 2014. These, among many others, are 2 of the reasons we and other veterinarians recommend her.
We appreciate that the groomers take the time to indulge cats 1-on-1 for an hour of pampering and understanding.
It’s also nice to know that it provides a great private spa environment that is specifically designed for your feline friends.
To serve clients better, Cat’s Pajamas regularly attends industry events and pursues ongoing education to have a more customer-focused approach.

Today, it offers bath and comb and hair trimming services. There are sculpting, tunnel trim, and spot mat removal services as well, along with more styling options that are made available on demand.
Unfortunately, Cat’s Pajamas operates with several restrictions to consider.
Aside from refusing to groom aggressive or sedated cats, it also doesn’t groom feral cats, intact males, pregnant or nursing queens, skunked cats, or cats with open wounds.
On top of this, as its location is up a flight of stairs in what seems like an office building, it’s relatively difficult to spot.
Nonetheless, Cat’s Pajamas Feline Grooming Studio is a great option to groom your feline friends.

A 5-star experience
“This was our rescue kitten’s first experience with a groomer and we were not disappointed! When we picked her up she was very relaxed and content, her coat was shiny and soft, and her claws were trimmed perfectly. The pricing was great and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. All around a 5-star experience!” — Khali Whitelocke, Google Reviews
It went flawlessly

Currently, it offers services that extend from lion shaving to nail trimming. There are packages, too, that you can choose from to provide an overall pampering experience for your pet at more affordable rates.
We appreciate that all pets are hand dried, which is a way for them to ensure that every inch of the pet’s skin is assessed while drying them up safely.

Although the team may be relatively small, we like that the members are responsive and provide nothing but high-quality, professional services.
We really like that animals here are treated with utmost care.
It’s also commendable that the shop accepts multiple payment methods for services offered, which adds additional convenience for patrons.
The only downside we found is that grooming appointments should be booked 3-4 weeks in advance through a phone call.
