Savor the Finest Artisan Bakeries in Ottawa Where Craft Meets Flavor

So, here’s a little secret: I’ve been a fan of baked goods ever since I binge-watched “Yakitate!! Japan” and marveled at the magical powers of bread.

So I’ve been on a search for delicious pastry perfection that would make me react like the characters in the anime – feeling as if each bite transported me to another world.

I’m still holding out hope for those legendary solar hands, by the way.

Naturally, my love for artisan baked goods made me an expert in bakeries in Ottawa. For years, I’ve been diving headfirst into a world of flaky croissants, tantalizing tarts, and scones that could make you believe in culinary miracles.

Now, I’m excited to share my top finds with you. After years of love and research, these delicious discoveries are finally ready to be enjoyed by our readers!

Art-Is-In Bakery is a renowned brunch spot where locals flock for its exceptional baked goodies. Their cheddar, chive, & jalapeno baguette is sitting in my pantry as we speak!

The irregularity of air pockets inside the bread creates a light and airy texture, which is why it’s so enjoyable to eat. And of course, the fiery kick from the jalapenos is also a nice touch.

If I’m looking for an indulgent treat, I reach for their pastry menu, which boasts a delicious variety of baked delights.

The butter croissant and the cinnamon bun continue to vie for the top spot in my heart, but I’ve decided to let them both share the number one spot.

I personally like my scones savory and The SconeWitch really does it well. I recommend the herb & onion, which I’m sure you’ll love if you appreciate savory, aromatic flavors with a delightful crunch.

They have multiple locations across the city, such as in Westboro, Elgin, Cyrville, and Beechwood, all of which are worth a visit. However, if you’re planning on dining in, maybe steer clear of Cyrville, as it’s only available for takeaway.
