I can never forget my first live music event, where we rocked out at the Canadian Tire Centre, or our first ball game at the Ottawa Stadium. Everyone’s excitement was contagious every time.

So grab your foam finger or light stick, and let us be your guide as we take you on a tour of Ottawa’s best arenas and stadiums!

1. Canadian Tire Centre

Capacity: 18,652

The Canadian Tire Centre is one of Ottawa’s most iconic sports arenas and serves as the stage for epic battles and unforgettable moments.

I remember the moment I first stepped foot into this stadium years ago; I was undeniably captivated by its grandeur. What’s more, the collective excitement of everyone there also filled the air and was practically contagious!

I guarantee that every seat offers a fantastic view, so you’ll find yourself at the edge of your seat as you cheer on your favorite teams or artists. The stadium has a lot of seating options, so expect the prices to reflect such a top-notch venue.

It’s worth it because of the attentive staff who’s always ready to assist, the top-notch sound system and even the jumbotron ensures you catch every thrilling moment!

Parking at the Canadian Tire Centre is adequate, although, after events, the traffic flow could benefit from a more efficient system. But hey, it’s a small price to pay for the incredible experience that awaits you inside!

What’s more, the Canadian Tire Centre isn’t just a beautiful arena; it’s a testament to its enduring legacy. It’s honestly remarkable how well-maintained and updated the facility is, considering its nearly 30-year history.

Washrooms and services are easily accessible from anywhere within the arena, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Whether you’re a sports enthusiast or a fan of live events, the Canadian Tire Centre is a must-visit destination that guarantees an exhilarating and unforgettable experience!

Pro Tip:

If you get hungry, there are a lot of concession stands available on Level 200. However, costs can be a bit pricey, so keep that in mind if you’re thinking about visiting on an empty stomach.

2. TD Place

Address: 1015 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K1S 3W7, Canada

Contact Details: +1 613-232-6767

Capacity: 24,000

TD Place is another one of Ottawa’s premier sports and entertainment destinations that never fails to deliver an unforgettable experience. Nestled within the vibrant Lansdowne area, this large venue offers both convenience and great parking options!

It even has its own massive underground garage that’s easily accessible from the street, so parking isn’t really much of an issue.

Now don’t be fooled by its outdoor appearance, because beneath the open stadium lies a fully enclosed stadium where I got to watch an incredible hockey game! While the concession stands could improve, the incredibly helpful staff compensated for it.

Plus, the recently renovated chairs helped make the entire experience enjoyable, even if an event lasts for hours on end.

Speaking from personal experience, TD Place is a venue that truly impresses!

Heck, during another past event, the staff converted men’s bathrooms to accommodate the needs of the predominantly middle-aged female attendees. Talk about helpful, am I right?

As a devoted sports enthusiast, TD Place is almost like a second home to me, and I frequent this venue for soccer and the occasional football game. There are also basketball and junior hockey games, too, sometimes.

Pro Tip:

During major events, we recommend using alternative transportation like buses or bikes to enhance your overall experience and avoid any potential hassle with traffic and parking.

Ottawa Stadium is the place to be for baseball fans because it’s where the magic of baseball comes alive! This vibrant venue isn’t just a ballpark; it’s also a summer sanctuary for friends, families, and kids to create unforgettable memories together!

I had the pleasure of attending a special event called Little League Night, and it was an absolute blast! The kids were overjoyed as they got to play on the field during the anthems and even caught a glimpse of themselves on the colossal big screen.

In terms of the facilities, the wide array of seats and spotless bathrooms made the trip all the better. All in all, it was an awesome summer evening that left us eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

The ambiance during evening games is simply electric, making everyone feel just how intense every match was and leaving us on the edge of our seats.

The great thing about the EY Centre is that it’s one of the most versatile venues because it can host a wide array of events. From bustling car shows to clothing and accessories sales, there’s always something exciting happening!

During my first visit, I was captivated by the energy of the car show taking place at the EY Centre. The venue was abuzz with enthusiastic crowds, making it clear why this place draws such large gatherings.

One of the things I appreciated most about it is that there was ample parking, and it took only a brief search to find a convenient spot. The building itself was impressive, boasting excellent maintenance, cleanliness, and accessibility.

The abundance of modern and well-maintained bathrooms further added to the comfort and enjoyment of our visit. Even germaphobes would weep in happiness at the cleanliness, which is why it’s a favorite destination for us when attending events.

Additionally, the EY Centre is a remarkable facility that seamlessly accommodates multiple events simultaneously. This means, for example, you can visit a farm show event in one hall and go to a shopping and local crafts event just across from it!

In summary, EY Centre is a captivating destination that caters to diverse events, leaving visitors with unforgettable memories. Whether you’re exploring car shows, shopping sales, farm exhibits, or glowing festivals, you won’t regret visiting.
