Mayor’s Annual Christmas Celebration Returns to Ottawa City Hall on Dec. 7

Kick off the holiday season with festive cheer at the Mayor’s 22nd Annual Christmas Celebration, hosted by Mayor Mark Sutcliffe at Ottawa City Hall. This beloved community event will take place on Saturday, December 7, from 3 to 6 PM.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in town so families can visit them in their cozy cabin. But for everyone else who is too old to sit on Santa’s lap, you can roast marshmallows and sip hot chocolate around a campfire.

And of course, no one’s ever too good for horse-drawn wagon rides.

Don’t forget your skates because the Rink of Dreams will open for the season, weather permitting! Then, at 5 PM, you’ll see the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Marion Dewar Plaza—a spectacle you shouldn’t miss!

If it gets too cold, you can head to City Hall to warm up and indulge in $2 BeaverTails while listening to live entertainment. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.
