Since everyone’s got their quirks, only you can decide if this neighborhood sparks joy or just “meh”.
Factors to Consider if Greely, Ottawa is a Good Place to Move to

Greely, Ottawa, can be a great place to live depending on your preferences and lifestyle. Here are some things to consider about Greely to see if it’s the perfect fit: housing options, ambiance, community, amenities, diversity, and transportation.
Housing Options
Folks who decide to move to Greely, Ottawa will be presented with a lot of housing options, so they can find the perfect home that fits their needs, lifestyle, and family size

There are multiple families owning houses of various sizes, catering to different needs and preferences, most of which are townhouses or residential homes.
Ambiance
Those who want to stray away from the fast-paced lifestyle of city life will enjoy living in Greely – the total opposite of hustle and grind.
Here, you’re invited to enjoy life at a leisurely pace because of its tranquil atmosphere and abundant green spaces.
Community
Since it’s a small area, Greely is a tight-knit community, which is great if you’re someone who values close relationships with neighbors and a strong sense of local camaraderie.
This is why a lot of residents of Greely are families.
However, if you’re an individual who’s fresh out of college and is looking for exciting nightlife in the city, there are better options out there for you to check out.
You might feel more connected to Downtown Rideau and perhaps even Lowertown.
Amenities
When compared to other areas like Centretown, Ottawa, Greely only has a handful of amenities in its vicinity.
It’s also worth considering that there’s no nightlife in Greely, so if you enjoy vibrant evening entertainment and social activities, you may find the neighborhood lacking in options.
Most of its surroundings are green spaces, which is great, but if you’re looking for a plethora of convenient amenities in a neighborhood, Greely might not be a suitable option for you.
That being said, if you don’t mind a 20-minute drive to Barrhaven, where there are a lot of dining options and amenities, you’ll find what you need there.
However, there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy a nice dine-in meal and outdoor activities in the area.

It aims to make sure that everyone gets treated fairly in the city through program implementations which they aim to achieve over the course of five years.
They’re focusing on the following factors: governance, housing, economic development, health outcomes, children and youth development, workplace racial equality, and institutional practices.
