The NAC to Host Ottawa’s Annual Indigenous Art Market on June 6, 2025
The National Arts Center is hosting a Summer Indigenous Art Market on Friday, June 6, 2025! Like the previous editions, various artists will exhibit their work at the Gail & David O’Brien Atrium from 3 PM to 9 PM.
What we love about these art markets is that they have everything—paintings, sculptures, cute stickers, and more.
They also have cultural items like moccasins, mittens, and beaded jewelry, which are made with traditional techniques and materials but with contemporary aesthetics.
Over the years, the art market has grown significantly. Just last December, it featured 65+ artists, all Indigenous women from the Metis, Inuit, and First Nations, one of the biggest editions yet.

Wear your most comfortable shoes as you’ll be doing a lot of browsing. The list of vendors has yet to be announced since they’re still waiting for more applications, so expect that to come out in a week or two.
Depending on the vendor, they might accept cash or credit only, or both. There’s an ATM on-site, but the wait time could be long as these community events are usually packed.
The Summer Indigenous Art Market is free for all. Head over to the NAC website for more information.
