After experiencing it myself, I’ve compiled a list of the best helicopter rides in the city. The best part? There’s something for the whole family!

Canada Aviation and Space Museum offers an opportunity for visitors to take a deep dive into the world of aviation and its history.
Exhibits include a variety of educational experiences, including facts about the International Space Station and rare artifacts from The Cold War.
Folks who would like to enjoy an experience among the clouds will have the time of their lives here. The museum has helicopter rides for those who truly want to immerse themselves in the exhilarating world of aviation.
They have three different flights available, all of which we’ll discuss below.
Family Sightseeing Rides
Available all year round, the whole family can indulge in the views of Downtown Ottawa and Parliament Hill from a small plane.

Do note that the aircraft only takes a maximum number of 3 passengers per flight.
Helicopter Rides
Operated by the local helicopter tour agency Héli-Tremblant, visitors to the museum can also participate in helicopter rides.
You can choose from three types of tours namely, the Parliament Tour, Gatineau Hills Tour, and Airport Tour.
Flights are on a Robinson R44, which is perfect for sightseeing.
Helicopter rides are only available from May to October, so visitors who are planning on signing up for this experience should schedule their trips accordingly.
Vintage Biplane Rides
A popular choice of flight at the museum is the vintage biplane rides, perfect for those seeking a unique experience of riding a vintage plane.
This one lets visitors choose from as many as 4 rides! They have the River Tour, the Parliament Hill Tour, the Gatineau Hills Tour, and the Eco Tour.
If you want to be in the air for as long as 35 minutes, the latter one is much recommended.

It offers five fascinating tours of the 1000 Islands, making it an even more memorable experience. However, I highly suggest trying the Kingston City Tour to get a taste of the historic town and its picturesque views.
