The 8 Best Splash Pads in Ottawa You Do NOT Want to Miss

The 8 Best Splash Pads in Ottawa You Do NOT Want to Miss

Ottawa’s summer months can be pretty grueling for us, and it really gives us the urge to beat the heat, yeah?

Fortunately, Ottawa has a lot of great stuff to let us cool down. One particular option my family likes is the city’s splash pads.

As a bit of trivia, did you know that there the capital city boasts a whopping 144 of these spray zones? Crazy, right?

When my kids don’t feel like going to a pool, this is pretty much their preferred option. They can have fun in the spray pools, smiling and laughing as they have the time of their lives.

Due to the nature of these places, there’s little to no need for me to watch them carefully, as they are far safer than pools. So I can just sit back and relax in a nearby tree with some shade, or I sometimes join them to feel the cool water against my skin.

And the best part about all of this? Admission is free!

No, I’m not pulling your leg. Ottawa’s water playgrounds are absolutely free of charge, and you are free to go there with your family and friends.

Now that I’ve talked about these things, I bet you’re wondering what splash pads you should visit in Ottawa. Here’s a list of locations that I highly recommend that you go to.
