The 3 Best Peruvian Restaurants in Ottawa for a True Taste of Peru
A few weeks ago, I was talking to my friends about wanting to try something new and bold. We all agreed on one thing‒Peruvian food.
We decided to up the ante. Whoever recommended the best spots would have their share paid for by the group. This started our short but very competitive race.
During this friendly competition, I fell in love with Peruvian cuisine. After trying a handful of restaurants, I decided to make a list of my favorites. It felt like a crime to not share these! So here are the spots that earned me a free meal, courtesy of my friends.

Their award-winning dishes are a testament to the quality and flavors that you’re going to experience here. It’s like tasting Peru without having to go there!
I’d like to focus on a particular dish of theirs, the Lomo Saltado. Made with triple-A Tenderloin Beef, seared in soy and oyster sauce, it’s the juiciest beef I’ve ever tasted in my life.
Pair that with their homemade sauces and you’re golden.

Hold your horses, that’s just the appetizer. The main dish you want to check out is their Arroz con Mariscos. Basically a Peruvian-style seafood paella, it takes everything you’ve tasted and cranks it to 10.
Finish your experience with their Crema Volteada. This Peruvian-style vanilla flan is surely the perfect sweet treat to end your meal!

If you’re looking for something with a little kick, we recommend their Aji De Gallina. Also made from chicken breast, the yellow pepper sauce simply sets this dish apart. It strikes a balance between juiciness and spiciness unlike any other.
After you devour those, order a slice of their Torta. This chocolate cake will melt in your mouth and bring heaven to you with its blend of richness and sweetness.
Wash it down with some Mango Juice and you’ve officially gotten a taste of Peru.
Pro tip:
Their Cancha Peruana is the perfect finger food! Make sure to order a bag before you go.
