Secure Your Spot: Register for the 30th MNO Annual General Assembly This August

The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is gearing up to host its 30th Annual General Assembly (AGA) from August 17-20, 2023, at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa.

This special event aims to bring together MNO leadership and citizens from Métis communities across Ontario. It will then provide them with a platform to shape their self-governance, reflect on past achievements, and chart the course for the future.

The 30th MNO AGA promises to be a momentous occasion, featuring a series of business meetings from August 18-20. To kick off the assembly, the President’s Welcome and Canoe Arrival will take place on the evening of August 17.

All events will be held at the Westin Hotel, conveniently situated at 11 Colonel By Drive, just steps away from Ottawa’s downtown attractions.

This year’s AGA holds special significance as the MNO celebrates two landmark anniversaries.

Participants will mark the 30th anniversary of the Métis Nation of Ontario’s establishment. Additionally, it’ll celebrate the 20th anniversary of the historic Métis rights decision in R v. Powley.

The AGA registration is now open, and all MNO citizens are encouraged to participate in this essential gathering.

The Métis people play an invaluable role in shaping our nation, so we can’t stress enough how important it is that they get the chance to speak for themselves. If you’re part of this community, we hope that you’ll seize this moment to make a change.
